Timothy Yero (Tim), 78, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on December 30th, 2025. Born on February 13, 1947, in Miami, Florida, Tim was the son of the late Ralph and Sheila Yero. A native Floridian, Tim graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1965. He proudly served his country and a combat Vietnam Veteran from 1969 to 1970. Following his military service, Tim worked for Southern Bell for 25 years, where he built a long and dedicated career. Tim is survived by his wife, Donna Scarpello; his sons, Thomas Yero (Maria) and Todd Yero (Brianna); and his cherished grandchildren, Marc and Tara and his stepdaughter, Tina Scarpello (Bruce Jones). He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Sheila Yero, his sister Patricia “Patsy” and his brother, Jeff Yero and his grandson, Eric Yero. Tim will be remembered for being kind and his love of golf, sports, music and especially his dogs, who brought him great joy. His dedication to family, service to his country and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Citrus County Animal Shelter. The full honorable military ceremony will be held 2:00pm on Friday February 6, 2026 at the National Bushnell Cemetery. A gathering will follow at Lollygaggers in Floral City
