Joseph Ray Winchell
Joseph Ray Winchell, 53 of Weirsdale, FL passed away on June 10, 2026.
Born September 19, 1972 in Lake County, FL to Joel and Chloe Winchell, Joseph later relocated to Marion County, FL.
While Joseph enjoyed golfing every Sunday and fishing trips with his best friends. His family was the highlight of his life.
Whether he was teaching his granddaughter how to swim, throwing a frisbee or sharing his cooking skills with his grandson, his proudest moments were spending time with his daughter Autumn. She was the sparkle of his eye and the reason he worked so hard. All who knew him would tell you how proud he was of his daughter and her accomplishments and how thankful he was that he was able to witness her growth.
Joseph was a dedicated father, brother and son.
He was easy going and was comfortable in just about any setting. As long as he was surrounded by good friends or family, good food and drink the conversation and laughter could last for hours. Recounting everything from childhood shenanigans to crazy fishing trips, he was excited for each new adventure.
He was a framer by trade. Growing up like two peas in a pod, he and his brother Steven worked alongside one another for many years.
Joseph is survived by his daughter Autumn Tremblay, who he affectionately nicknamed, “Sweet Pea”, her husband Jacob; his two beautiful grandchildren, Keagan and Hermyonie;
his loving and caring mother, Chloe Winchell; two sisters, Amanda Perez of Fruitland Park, and Sarah Mellado of Belleview, FL.; three nieces & one nephew - Sierra, Victoria, Madison & Luciano; and aunts, uncle & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joel Winchell; his brother Steven Winchell; his paternal & maternal grandparents, uncles and aunt.
Joseph lived a full and meaningful life, though it ended far too soon, the impact of his absence will be felt by all who knew him.
ARRANGEMENTS:
In honor and celebration of his life a private, family service will be held.
