Joseph Anthony “Tony” Blevins, 43, of Ocala, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2026, following a tragic automobile accident.

Tony was born on July 9, 1983, in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Joseph Alfred Blevins and Phyllis Carey of Weirsdale, Florida. Although Tony was born in Ohio, he moved to Florida with his family as a baby and spent most of his life in Florida.

Tony was a free spirit with an adventurous soul. He loved life and was never afraid to live it. He was witty, quick with a comeback, and had a way of making people laugh. Although he wasn’t always one to show his emotions, Tony loved his family and friends deeply and was always willing to have their backs.

Tony loved the outdoors and especially loved to fish. He would fish just about anywhere, but Cedar Key was one of his favorite places to cast a line. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making memories, and embracing the adventure of life.

Tony was saved at Meadowbrook Church, a place that held special meaning in his life and where his life will now be celebrated.

Tony is survived by his daughters, Avriana Blevins and soon to be first grandchild Madeline and Aubree Blevins , both of Ocala Florida; fiancé, Janey Fockler and her daughter Daysha Fockler and children Taylin, Taylani and Jay all of Weirsdale, Florida; his mother, Phyllis Carey of Weirsdale, Florida; and his siblings, Brent Thompson of Coal Grove, Ohio; Angela Stephens (the late Gary Stephens) of Ocala, Florida; Jolyna Meadows and her husband, Brian Meadows, of Ocala, Florida; and Tonya Vickery and her husband, Jared Vickery, of Ocala, Florida.

He is also survived by his nieces, Tara Thompson of South Point, Ohio; Christina Rimes (Tyler) of Ocala, Florida; Sara Stephens of Ocala, Florida; Sophia Stephens of Ocala, Florida; and Celia Vickery of Ocala, Florida; and his nephews, Jesse Thompson of South Point, Ohio; Trey Woods of Ocala, Florida; Cade Woods of Ocala, Florida; Brock Terrell of Ocala, Florida; Noah Stephens of Ocala, Florida; Owen Stephens of Ocala, Florida; and Judd Meadows of Ocala, Florida.

Tony leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who loved him and will deeply miss his laughter, his quick wit, his adventurous spirit, and the memories they shared with him

Family visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, from 9:00–9:30 a.m. at Meadowbrook Church in Ocala, followed by friends’ visitation from 9:30–10:00 a.m. A celebration of Tony’s life will be held from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

Following the service, cremation will take place privately.
