It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Gloria Murphy, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, on May 24th. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Daniel Murphy Sr, daughter Gloriann Murphy, son Daniel Murphy Jr, her sister Paula Moore along with many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved and cherished. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother and father Frieda and Gus Miles. Born in Philadelphia on January 29, 1947, she resided in Swarthmore, PA before retiring with her husband to Ocala, FL in 2004 where they built a vibrant community of friends. She loved to bowl and play bingo, along with traveling, and took up golf when she moved to Florida. She will be deeply missed and remembered always. Gloria’s life will be honored privately by her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
