Our precious father, Desmond Hooker of Summerfield, Florida, went to sleep in Jesus arms, surrounded by family, on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the University of Florida Villages Hospital at the age of 93. He was born on February 15, 1930 in Jamaica, WI, moving to United States in 1963. Beloved husband for 69 years to Essie Myrna Archbold Hooker, who predeceased him; Loving father of Ralph, David (Carol Hutchins) and Cheryl (Keith Rilea); Grandfather to Sandra (Scott Loughlin) and Nathan (Amara Pabon); Great- grandfather to Colin, Ian, Alyssa and Logan. Dad lived a long full life of 93 years. He will be remembered for his appreciation of spiritual themes, the quoting of Scripture, and his love for classical music and animals. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 3 pm, at Grace Baptist Church in Belleview, Florida.
