Deborah “Debbie” Cheshire (née Howard) August 30, 1956 – October 25th, 2026
Deborah Cheshire, known lovingly as Debbie, was born on August 30, 1956, in Michigan. She spent more than 30 years in Ocala and resided in Port Charlotte for many years later in life.
Debbie was a woman with a generous heart and a gentle spirit, and she met life’s challenges with a fierce determination. She loved helping people and had a special affection for animals—especially her cats. The beach was her happy place, and she found peace simply by being near the water, a comfort she enjoyed deeply while living in Port Charlotte, where her home was situated near the water she found so calming. She laughed easily and found joy in the simple things in life, a quality that made her presence warm and comforting to those around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Dorer, and her four grandchildren—Kaylei, Kaitlyn, Kristopher, and Korey—all of Ocala. She is also survived by her son, Shawn Kirchner, and her two sisters, Laura and Julie. She was preceded in death by her brother Rob and her son Gregory, who passed away in infancy.
She leaves behind memories of laughter, kindness, and quiet moments that will be cherished by her family.
A private service for family will be held on Friday November 6th, Her final farewell will be held by the ocean that brought her comfort throughout her life.
