Anthony (Tony) Becker
Tony Becker, 81, of The Villages, Florida, died peacefully at home on Saturday, August 8, 2026, after a long illness.
Tony was born on November 16, 1944, in Clifton, New Jersey, to the late Joseph and Helen (Marositz) Becker.
He served in the U.S. Army for two years and attended Montclair State University. He worked for AT&T International and then for the ITU, the Telecommunications Agency of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. In both positions, he worked in marketing and public relations and traveled the world extensively.
Tony married his childhood sweetheart, Arlene (Krynicky), in 1965, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage this year. She survives him along with their children: son, Tony, of Marblehead, Massachusetts, and daughter, Alison, of Los Angeles, California, as well as daughter-in-law, Lee, and grandchildren, Grady, Evie, and Laney. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce, and sister-in-law, Linda, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Alan, Dennis, and Gary, his twin.
Tony loved travel and history, and he was always at the ready with a great story to make you laugh. Family meant the world to him.

Condolences
We were grade school and high school best buddies who enjoyed many good times together. For who can forget riding in the "jungle cruiser" to high school or the after the prom trip by all to Arlene's beach home, or later in life joining Tony and Arlene at their home in Switzerland from our home in Moscow and having raclette and years later enjoying a dinner at Jorgenson's before it closed. Tony, you accomplished a lot during your life because of your quick mind and affable personality, but your biggest accomplishment was marrying your sweetheart Arlene. Grace and I will miss you, and we will always remember our good times together. Until we meet again, may our Lord grant you eternal peace with your family in heaven.

August 27, 2026When I met Tony 20+ years ago, I sensed from the beginning, what a kind, genuine and caring person he was. There are very few people that have that Aura about them and he was one of them. He had a great personality and would always joke around, making everyone at ease, and making sure they had a good time. He, like his twin brother, were the sweetest men I’ve ever met. Richard and I always had a fun time whenever we were around him. He loved family first and always took interest in hearing about ours. We surely will miss those awesome get-togethers when we visit The Villages again. He was truly loved.
