Thomas L. Jones

Thomas L. Jones, 81, of Dunnellon, Fl passed March 17, 2026, at Grace Davis Hall Hospice House. He was born in St. Petersburg, Florida along side his loving twin brother, John C. Jones, in 1944 to parents Jay Jones and Norma Lyons.

Tommy graduated from Dunnellon High School in 1962.  He graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fl, Medical College of Virginia Dental School in Richmond, Virginia and University of North Carolina Residency in Endodontics in Chapel Hill, N.C.  Tommy practiced dentistry for more than 40 years in North Carolina, including Chapel Hill, Asheville, Morganton and Goldsboro.

He enjoyed golf, trips to the beach, food, woodworking, remodeling his home and offices. He especially cherished time with his children and many grandchildren. Tommy was a passionate inventor and was awarded many patents and copyrights. His most successful being inventing shaving in the shower with a shower mirror.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret; four children, Dallas Jones, Marion Head, Kendall Jones and Lauren Jones; and 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
