Tarvin C. Durbin Sr.

TARVIN C. DURBIN SR. (TC) 75 OF TAVARES, FLORIDA passed away on MARCH 4, 2023 at CORNERSTONE HOSPICE, TAVARES, FL.

TC was born in MAGNET, INDIANA to LUCILLE & CLAUDE DURBIN on AUGUST 24. 1947.

TARVIN retired from SERCO MANAGEMENT where he repaired Fire and Emergency equipment for Seminole County.  He was a MASTER TECHNICIAN GOLD, one in 20 of all the United States for Chevrolet. He was ASE Certified across the board and worked for CAMBRON CHEVROLET of Tell City, Indiana. 

He and his wife Barbara owned & operated Some Other Place Tavern & Restaurant in Magnet, Indiana before moving to Florida.  Together they also had TC’s Karaoke business for over 25 years.  TC is a NAVY VETERAN and a proud member of the VFW, AMERICAN LEGION, AM VETS and MOOSE CLUB. His greatest joys (other than family) were cars and music. He loved the guitars.  He is survived by his wife BARBARA, daughters, SABRINA & LISA. his sons, TARVIN JR. AND JOSEPH (Dawn) and daughter in law KIM.

Also survived by Ray & Pat Appiarius. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille, father Claude, sister Judith Durbin and step-son Michael Conforti.

A Celebration of Life is being planned at a date to follow.
