Joanne Marie Cook

Joanne Marie Cook, 62, of Apopka, Florida died Sunday, March 12, 2023, at HCA Ocala Hospital as inpatient after she had a stroke.

Joanne was born on February 17 of 1961 in Cambridge, New York to the late Forest F Cook and Maryon Cook Hickerson. Joanne was raised in Greenwich, New York, which she lived until 1995. She then resided in Florida for the remainder of her life. Joanne worked for a company for over 10 years doing production until she retired early in 2015. Joanne then traveled back and forth to her hometown and Florida. Joanne loved her family, butterflies, bingo and collecting cherubs.

She is survived by one son, Brian F. Cook of Wildwood, Florida. Her two daughters, Crystal L. Worth and Ashley L. Greene Of Sorrento, Fl and her 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Brandon, Gaige, Brianna, Aaliyah, Nathan, Lucas, Avery, Rozlyn, Shadow and Aubriella ; 5 great-grandchildren. One brother, Forrest Cook and his wife, Lorraine of Ocklawaha, Fl ; two sisters, Nancy Saddlemire and her husband, Robert of Moneta, VA, Donna Blair and her husband, Don of Greenwich, NY.

Many nieces and nephews who called her “Aunt Jo”! She was predeceased by her parents Forrest F Cook and Maryon Cook Hickerson, sisters Sylvia Jean Cook, Marion Quackenbush. Granddaughter Brittany Marie Cook.

A celebration of life will be held 1 pm until 5 pm, Sunday, April 16, 2023, at VFW post 7291 63 able avenue, Greenwich, NY.
