JAY A MCDANIEL

Jay A. McDaniel of Orange Park, Florida passed away on January 3, 2022, at 48 years old, following a massive stroke that occurred on April 6, 2021. Jay was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 28, 1973 to the late Hugh Cadle McDaniel and Wanda P. McDaniel. Jay is survived by his son, Jackson Hugh McDaniel, his mother Wanda P. McDaniel, his devoted and loving fiancé Jennifer Sills of St. Augustine, Florida and two step daughters, Emily and Sophia Suto.

Jay had a love for building and was incredibly creative. He was employed by Attractions and Entertainment Solutions Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida as a Carpenter and Facility Manager.

Jay will be remembered as a loving and devoted single father to Jackson. He was a caring son who took in his aging mother and provided care for her. He was a hard worker and had a wicked sense of humor. At the time of his stroke he was happy and looking forward to marrying Jennifer and joining their families.

He fought hard to recover but his body gave out. He will be missed and remembered with love and admiration.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life service at St Cyprians Episcopal Church in St Augustine on February 18th, 2022 at 2pm. The priest requests that all attending be fully vaccinated and wear a mask.
