Dianne Zawacki

Dianne Marie Zawacki, 68, of Interlachen, FL passed peacefully at her home on June 9, 2023. Dianne was born in Boston, MA on July 29, 1954 to Beatrice (Welch) and James O’Sullivan, whom she is predeceased by, as well as her brother Brian O’Sullivan.

After graduating from Dedham High School in Dedham, MA, Dianne continued her education at Hesser College and Franklin Pierce College in Concord, NH, where she also furthered her education at Plymouth State University by earning her MBA.

Accomplished in her career, Dianne wore many hats. She worked as a Senior Payroll and Human Resources Specialist for many years with different school districts and companies. She also spent time as a Contract Specialist for the New Hampshire Department of Safety as well as operating as a Campground Manager at Russell Pond Campgrounds in North Woodstock, NH.

Despite years of professional achievements, Dianne wanted to do more. Knowing the love she had for helping others was insurmountable, she ventured into the world of volunteering and helping those in need. She spent time volunteering with the Red Cross in Jamaica Plain, MA, and was a Lifetime Girl Scout of Hollis Brookline. If she wasn’t volunteering, she could be found camping, attending concerts, crocheting, visiting the ocean, and spending quality time with her loving family and friends.

As a lover of staying busy and discovering new ways to give back to her community, Dianne would later go on to found two different Boys and Girls Clubs in New Hampshire – one in Souhegan Valley in Milford and the other in Lakes Region in Laconia. Starting this journey made Dianne the first-ever (and only!) female Founding Executive Director of any Boys and Girls Club in the country. She was also a foster parent to many children throughout the years. Truly, there was truly nothing that she couldn’t do after setting her mind and her heart to it.

She is survived by her loving husband Daniel Zawacki of Interlachen, FL, daughter Jennifer Ann (Cole) Rosa and husband Nat Rosa of Nashua, NH, step-daughter Fern Cary and grandsons Austin, Logan and Devin Perkins of Moultonborough, NH, step-son Dan Zawacki Jr, wife Jamie, grandsons Brian, Connor and Daniel of Farmington, NH. She also leaves behind her supportive brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bruce and Deborah Zawacki of Calabash, NC, sisters Jeanne Anderson of Dedham, MA, Carol Couviea of Manchester, NH, brothers James O’Sullivan of Northborough, MA, and William O’Sullivan of Delaware, OH, as well as her many sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s, aunts, uncles, nieces, and MANY Welch and O’Sullivan cousins, and long-time best friends Cindy Slaney of Windham, ME, Becky Moul of Francestown, NH, and Shirley Glines of Laconia, NH.

Dianne’s beautiful memory will live in through all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
