Allan E. Dooley, 81, of Winter Park Florida died peacefully on February 9, 2023 at Advent Health hospital
in Winter Park Florida.
He was born on October 22, 1941 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania to Allan and Mary
Dooley and grew up in Stanford Connecticut.
He attended Riverside Military Academy and enlisted in
the Navy at 18 years of age. Allan served as a sonar specialist for four years on the destroyer Harold J.
Ellison. He loved being on the water and spent time off duty on Miami beach.
Allan worked as a sales representative for 22 years at Graybar Electric in Miami. He was a professional
photographer helping young newlyweds celebrate their beginnings. Allan loved filming nature and
beautiful florals.
He and his wife Theresa (Terry) were a team. They enjoyed many adventures. The two
met dancing and spent their life dancing together. Terry and Allan were partners as crossing guards for 8
years for Orange County.
Allan had an Irish wit and loved telling jokes. He was known for his chili and St.
Patrick’s Day dinners.
Allan retired as an Uber driver.
Allan is survived by his wife Terry, the love of his
life, his daughters Shannan (Tony) Dooley Carmona, Erin (Hope) Dooley, step-daughter Kim Jentsch,
step-son Jordan Meija, and grandchildren Brandon Carmona, Max and Niko Jentsch, Eve, Jordan, and
Gabe Meija, and sister Barbara Dooley Williamson.
Memorial Services will be held at Northland Church,
Dogwood Rd., Longwood on March 11 at 11:00. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to
