Ronald Gallant

Ronald Gallant, born on September 16, 1937, in Saugus, MA, passed away on March 11, 2024, in Ocala, FL, at the age of 86.

A loving devoted husband and father, Ron was known for his love of the outdoors and his amazing ability to fix anything and everything. He was respected and cherished by all who knew him.

Ron served in the US Navy for 7 years and then worked as a repairman at Tony’s Radio in Portsmouth NH. He went on to work as an Engineering Technician for SUBMEPP at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Ron and his wife raised their family in Greenland NH, where they lived for 30 years. He retired after 35 years of government service and moved to Ocala FL with his wife.

Throughout his life, Ron enjoyed hobbies such as HAM Radio (K1RG), hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and gardening.

Ron is survived by his wife Charlotte of 55 years, his four children Lisa Kenney and husband Matt, Chris Gallant and wife Julie, Erica Munguia and husband Adam, and Ron Gallant. He was Papa to 10 grandchildren, and Grand Papa to 2 great-grandsons and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Gallant, his brother Eddie, and sister Betty.

A Funeral Mass will be held on March 25th at 8:30 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala FL, followed by a military honors burial ceremony at 10:30 am at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wounded Warriors in Ron’s memory.
