Robert E Torrence

Robert (Bob) Torrence, 76 of Leesburg, Florida passed away on January 27, 2023 with his Wife Marylou by his side at home.

Bob was born in Lynchburg, Virginia to Bernard and Hilda Torrence on October 28, 1946 and went to Cocoa Beach High school where he was an outstanding football player and was the cause of commotion going to an out of zone school and leading the team to championships. After high school he did many things but ended up moving to Leesburg in 1977 and buying Fat Boy’s Barbecue in Fruitland Park. He has been in the Barbecue business ever since with his last venture being Bobalou’s Barbecue with Marylou.

Bob is survived by Marylou Torrence his wife, his daughter Jessica Torrence Silva and her four children, Caitlin (AJ), Robby, Alyssa and Bryden, his son Robert Jason Torrence (Kristine) and their three children, Andrew (Samantha), Patrick and Emma, His son Chris Jazwinski (Lisa) and their two children, Zoe and Hayden and Daughter, Dana Brooks (David) and their son Grayson. He also had four great grandchildren, Jayce, Finnley, Bryce and Landon.

There will be a celebration of life on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 6 pm at the Leesburg Boat Club. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to assist the family with final expenses.
