Noreen Nagle

Noreen Nagle passed away June 29, 2024, at age 81, in Ocala, Florida, due to complications from a brain tumor. Noreen (Aunt Re) showered her nieces and nephews and their families with never-ending encouragement and support. She even drove her nephew, Patrick, to fill out his Fed-Ex application where he was eventually hired for a job that he still enjoys to this day.

Her Catholic upbringing defined her entire life. She attended Trinity High School and Rosary College.  After college, she enjoyed teaching overseas in Germany and Okinawa and traveled extensively.  She worked as a dedicated administrator at Prosser Vocational High School and Irving Park Elementary School, and as a counselor and teacher within the Chicago school system over the next 30 years. She considered all of her students to be her children.

Following retirement, she moved to Lecanto, Florida, in 2014, with her best friend, Charlotte, to enjoy living on a golf course, creating a beautiful garden, and taking many trips to their happiest place on earth -Disneyworld.

Aunt Re loved the Cubs, her many dogs, birds, and latest pet, a cat named Oliver, who lovingly sat next to her at all times.

“Exquisite, scrumptious, thanks a million and have a magical day” were some of her favorite expressions, known to all.

Noreen was predeceased by her beloved parents, Joseph and Rose Marie Nagle, loving sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Stephen Hart, nephews, Stephen and JJ Hart, niece’s husband Paul Eckenroad, grand niece Rosarita Katerina Hart and great niece Isabella Hart.

She is survived by her best friend, Charlotte Klug; nieces: Noreen (Lee) Steinmetz, Colleen Eckenroad and partner Mark Sloan; nephews: Robert (Lastenia) Hart, Brian Hart, Patrick Hart, and grand and great niece and nephews.
