Mari Teresa McDade

Mari Teresa McDade, age 58, passed away on 10/16/2021 at Cates House hospice of Ocala surrounded by family.
Mari was born on 12/19/1962 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Edward McDade and Alice Mair, of Kilmarnock, Scotland. She had a sister Margaret and a brother George. She moved to Florida when she was 15. Later she lived in the Netherlands for a while, where she married her husband Hans.
Mari worked at the Navy base and as a special education teacher, among other things. She enjoyed many things, including crafting, spirituality, genealogy, gardening, writing, reading, poetry and music, cooking and traveling. She loved her grandchildren Amari, Marli and Cassi.
She was a long-term cancer survivor, having first been diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 lung cancer in 2008.
Mari is survived by her husband Hans, her sister Margaret, her children Matthew, Jessica and Abigail, and her nephew David. Arrangements are being handled by Coast to Coast Cremations of Ocala, FL.
