Lawrence Reed, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home on May 9, 2024. He was born on July 6, 1950 in Miami-Dade, Florida. The son of John Reed and Carmen Palacios.

He is preceded in death by his wife Teresa Reed, grandparents, his parents. He is survived by sons; Justin of Ocala, FL, Jason of Palatine, IL, and by his brother Bobby Reed of Wyoming, and many grandsons and grandkids.

Lawrence was born in Miami-Dade, FL to John and Carmen on July 9, 1950. He attended Carol City High where he played sports and received his education. He grew up in Carol City where he would retell many memories of playing till dark in the neighborhood park, with his local pals. He also was enlisted in the United States Army and served his country. He was a Supervisor for the city of Miami-Dade county Parks and Rec for decade’s until his retirement. His hands and knowledge built many of the County Parks and Events in Miami.

He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes as well as the Florida Gators. He enjoyed many styles of music, and many activities throughout the years. He was a superb jokester, who made everyone laugh and smile. He was also a great cook, who cooked many family dinners. He was married to his wife Teresa for over 40 years and was a faithful husband who loved his wife deeply. He served the LORD with his love and devotion. He loved his family, wife and loved his sons. He also loved his many good friends. His heart for giving was insurmountable.

He was a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, where he continues to worship Him, at this very moment!
