Helen Pearl Johnson

Helen Pearl Charleston, 84, passed away on May 9, 2024 in Ocala, Florida. Helen was born on September 14, 1939 in Gueydan, Louisiana and was the fifth child of Courtney Allin Jones and Truie Pearl Corley. In 1957, Helen graduated from PAtterson High School in St. Mary Perish, Louisiana, and worked as a secretary for most of her adult life.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David Carlton Jones, Alvin Ray (Marie) Jones, Courtney Duane (Marguerite) Jones, sister Murtle Anita (Joseph) Cognevich, and husband, Daniel Maynard Charleston. Surviving are a sister, Matha Linda (Dale) Johnson, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted. Burial at Florida National Cemtery in Bushnell, FL next to her beloved husband, SGT Daniel Charleston.
