Greg was born May 10th, 1959 to Mary Joan and Joseph Pando in Spanish Harlem NYC. The family moved to the Bronx when Greg was 8. He started playing guitar at the age of 5, playing in Greenwich Village by the time he was 16. He moved to Ocala in 1991 and established himself as a popular guitarist and entertainer – well known for playing in the Villages, at the Mojo Grills and many other local establishments. Music was his life and passion passing it on freely to others, mentoring many. One of his proudest accomplishments was playing with the legendary Mystics.
Greg loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife Debbie Pando, daughter Jennifer Fengarinas, granddaughters Amanda Prichard, Kody Boyd and Jessica Lundy. His love for his eight great-grandchildren Alaina, Armando, Bailee, Robbie, David, Jon, Logan, and Harper was endless. Greg was survived by his sister Kelly Pando, and profoundly loved his nieces Tiana Staggers, Skye Steed, and nephew Joseph Staggers and his wife Ashley. Also, his great-niece Alani, and great nephews Joseph Jr, Noah, Jacob, and Jae’vion. He much loved his brother-in- law Mandy Dominguez and his wife Peggy, his nephew Philip and his wife Laura and great nephews Phillip Jr. and Bradley. He was so proud of his family and their accomplishments.
A special thanks to Dr. Patrick Acevedo, the staff of Florida Cancer Specialists and the staff of Marion County Hospice Legacy House. Also special thanks to Rondo Fernandez, his wife Toby and his entire Mojo family. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting contributions be made in Greg’s name to:
