Frederick Abshier

Frederick Abshier, 88, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Ocala, Florida. Born on December 27, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to Thomas and Oranda Abshier.  Fred lived a full and vibrant life marked by deep devotion to his family and a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Fred was the beloved husband of the late Henrietta Abshier. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. One of their greatest joys was traveling—especially their cherished road trips and annual visits to Florida. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship.

A man of many passions, Fred found great joy in the camaraderie of the Nottingham Sportsman Club where he enjoyed both golf and bowling. Whether on the green or at the lanes, he relished friendly competition and good company. Above all else, he treasured time spent with family—gatherings filled with laughter were among his happiest moments.

Known for his warm heart and infectious sense of humor, Fred had a gift for making people laugh and bringing joy into any room. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather—and a friend whose presence made life brighter for those around him.
