Essie Myrna Archbold Hooker

Our precious Mother went to sleep in Jesus’s arms, surrounded by family, on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Villages Hospital at the age of 99 after a bout with covid-pneumonia. Beloved wife of Desmond Ralph Hooker; Loving mother of Ralph, David (Carol Hutchins) and Cheryl (Keith Rilea); Cherished grandmother to Sandra (Scott Loughlin) and Nathan (Amara Pabon); Great-grandmother to Colin, Ian, Alyssa and Logan. Essie lived a long, full life just short of her 100th birthday. She will be remembered for her smile, sweet ways, youth, and her faithful service as a nurse. Her memory will be cherished by all those whose lives she touched. A memorial service will be held May 7th at 2 pm at the Ocala Seventh-day Adventist Church (415 NE 41st Ave, Ocala), close to what would have been her 100th birthday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 3ABN or the Hope Channel.
