Cynthia Jane Colledge

Cynthia Jane Colledge, 74, of Ocala, Florida was called home on December 28, 2023.

Our mother, sister, and friend, Cindy lived her life to the fullest, to the end. Cindy was born to the late Robert Colledge and Dorothy Clements on May 26, 1949, in Youngstown, OH. She grew up in Miami, FL, the oldest of five, where she enjoyed sports, music, and running around in a convertible Beetle with friend Annie. After attending Miami-Dade Community College, she transferred to Texas Tech to study fashion. There she met Bruce, got married, and moved to KC, MO. They raised a red doby Thor and inherited sister Kim’s black doby Gerta before having their only child, Erisa Kimberly, in 1979.

Cindy loved her work in KC as a records manager, working for two of the most successful law firms, and loved serving in and traveling yearly to ARMA conferences making lifelong friends along the way. She eventually settled in Ocala, FL, closer to her family, where she continued doing things she loved like gardening, traveling, and attending local concerts or festivals. One of her last expeditions was to visit a specific orchid grower near Orlando she followed on YouTube, followed by a small shopping spree in Winter Garden with Erisa before heading back home.

Cindy was a problem solver, a fighter, cared deeply about her closest friends and family, and was always supportive in any way she could be. Second only to friends and family was her love of her pets and plants.

Cindy is survived by daughter, Erisa K. (Hines) Stilley, and brothers Robert, Neil, and Jon. She is preceded in death by her sister Kim.

The family will host a memorial for her on Friday, January 5, 2024. If desired, donations can be made in Cindy’s name to the Humane Society of Marion County.
