CASSIOPEIA JEAN HAMILTON “CASSI”, 36, of OCALA, FL entered into her eternal life on FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2026, while in hospital care in OCALA, FL. Beloved daughter born APRIL 27, 1990, in DETROIT, MI, to EMMETT AND ANGELIQUE (TRACEY) HAMILTON. Cassi graduated from O’FALLON TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL in 2008 and followed her mother’s roots to BUFFALO, NY to attend VILLA MARIA COLLEGE, where she earned a FINE ARTS DEGREE in animation. Cassi spent many years in Buffalo developing lasting friendships and pastimes such as watching Bills games with the family, spending time with her maternal grandparents, and rescuing her first of many pets, Orson.

Cassi approached both her life with an independent spirit. A self-taught IT specialist, Cassi built a career with dedication and natural talent. Outside of work she loved watching murder mysteries, solving crypto puzzles, spending time with her sister, and being a devoted pet mom. Known for her sharp wit, dark humor, and unmistakable common sense, she had a gift for putting things into perspective in order to help those she loved make wiser choices, but one of her most cherished characteristics was her compassionate heart. Her compassionate heart and soul consistently showed up to help those close to her particularly when she moved from Buffalo, to Ocala to room with her sister who was building a new career.

Cassi is survived by her parents, EMMETT AND ANGELIQUE (TRACEY) HAMILTON, her brothers ZACHARY Q. HAMILTON (HANNAH HAMILTON) and JACOB I. HAMILTON and her only sister, KATHERINE M. HAMILTON along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial Service celebrating Cassi’s life will be held at ST. NICHOLAS PARISH, the church community where she was raised, on FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 2026, AT 10:00 A.M., with REV. NICHOLAS JUNKER presiding. A luncheon reception will follow the service. Flowers, memories, pictures, cards, notes are appreciated as well as donations to local pet rescues in her name.

Cassi’s presence in the lives of those who loved her was nothing short of a blessing. She leaves a legacy of love and memories to be cherished. Cassie’s compassionate heart, intelligence, humor, strength, and unwavering love for family and friends will be eternally missed.
