Barbara Warnock
Barbara Patrice Warnock went to meet her Lord and Savior on November 21st, 2021 surrounded by her children and lifelong friend. Barbara was born in Ocala, Florida to Edward and Emma Warnock on August 24th, 1959 and she graduated from Key West High School in 1977. She went on to graduate with honors from the University of Florida with her Bachelor’s degree in Education and became the wonderful teacher and proud Gator fan many of us knew and loved.
Barbara took great pride in being the life of the party. She was involved in planning every class reunion and she made sure each one was memorable. She was also an enchanting teacher who often taught not only her students, but anyone around her how to be more loving, ambitious, and fun. Barbara was not only a mother to her two children, who she often stated were the true loves of her life, but she also took in and loved many other children wholeheartedly, as if they were her own. If you knew Barbara, you knew what it was like to be on a carnival ride. She is survived by her mother Emma Brown Warnock, children Dakota and Kolby, brother Michael Dean Warnock, sister Leslie Warnock, and many other dear family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father Edward Warnock.
Barbara was a charismatic woman who touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held at The Salmon Nursery, a family reunion spot that Barbara was very fond of during her children’s lifetime. The service will be on December 11th, 2021 at 12:00 PM, followed by a gathering at 12:45 PM with light lunch fare. There will also be a celebration of life for Barbara in Key West, FL on February 5th, 2022. More details to follow.
