Ann Garlipp Clark
Ann Clark, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025. Born on August 11, 1944, in Warsaw, New York, she grew up in Marion, New York, raised a family in Whitesboro, New York, and moved to Mount Dora, Florida in 2017.
A proud and dedicated dental hygienist by trade, Ann embraced her role as a full-time mother during her family’s early years. She was a familiar presence in the school organizations and on soccer fields, cheering and supporting her children at every game. Above all, Ann was a steadfast partner to her husband, Paul, whom she married in November 1968.
Ann’s heart and energy were devoted to her family. She was reliable, practical, frank, and proud, standing up for what she believed and encouraging those around her to do the same. She always felt a special connection to her brother, Tom, who predeceased her. Her love for life shone through her many passions: camping and exploring the Adirondacks, traveling to all 48 states, enjoying music—especially when created by her family—and getting lost in a good book. Ann had a mischievous side and often embraced self-deprecating humor. She would jokingly warn people, “Be careful opening that cabinet, you never know what you might find.”
Ann’s life was rich with shared memories: nights around the campground fire, family adventures across the country, and the everyday moments of laughter and support that defined her character. She leaves behind her husband, Paul; sons Scott and Jeff; daughter-in-law Coleen; grandchildren Christopher and Courtney; and nieces Amy Kruger and Jill Bowden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Katherine Garlipp.
A memorial event will be scheduled at a future date in New York. Those wishing to receive an invitation for the memorial event may email tboneman45@gmail.com to be added to the list. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ann’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
She leaves footprints in our hearts, just as surely as she left them on every trail she ever walked.
