Joshua Kane O’Hara

July 8, 1984 » April 29, 2023

Joshua Kane O’Hara passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2023 at the young age of 38.

Josh was born on July 8, 1984 in Orlando, Florida to Joy Marie O’Hara and later adopted by James O’Hara.

His family is incredibly heartbroken over the loss of their son, father, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and fiancé. Josh is survived by his 4 children Katelynn O’Hara, Jasen O’Hara, Garrett O’Hara and Sarajean O’Hara. He was also blessed and loved by his step-children, Erin, Derek and Conor.

He will forever be loved and missed by his mother, Joy, sister, Rebecca, brother-in-law, Temo and fiancé, Debra. His nephews, Tyler and Jonathan, and his niece, Angelina, will forever carry their love for their uncle in their hearts. His grandmother, Freda Holsclaw, his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers will feel the burden and anguish of losing Josh for years to come.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather’s, Bill O’Hara and Millard Holsclaw, as well as his uncle Terry Holsclaw.

Josh met his fiancé, Debra, years ago but they only recently rekindled their relationship and decided there must be a reason they kept crossing paths. Debra loved Josh deeply and gave him the home, family and life he so desperately wanted. Josh’s sister and mother will be eternally grateful for the love, compassion and family Debra gave to him.

Josh always said, ‘If you’re not a grown up by the time you turn thirty, you don’t have to grow up.” Josh was adventurous, free spirited, fun loving, loyal to a fault, hardworking and he loved deeply. He was never afraid to venture down a path or a back road. He traveled a lot for work and met many friends along the way. Josh loved watching the sunset over the water, he loved his children, he made a lasting impact on the lives he touched and those who loved him. Josh’s passing will forever pain the hearts of his sister, mother and fiancé. He will be loved and remembered for the rest of their days.

There will be no funeral service. A private memorial service will be held by invitation only. If you would like to attend, please contact his sister, Rebecca, for details. In lieu of flowers, feel free to contact Rebecca to make donations for Josh’s 3-month-old daughter, Sarajean.
