Joel A. St Clair, 79, of Dunnellon, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Ocala, Florida.

Joel was born on June 12, 1946, in Oxnard, California, and graduated from Nordhoff High School in 1964.

After graduating, Joel honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked for Morgan Yachts and later for Emergency-1, where he dedicated 25 years before retiring.

Joel enjoyed restoring firearms, fishing, and crafting custom fly-fishing hooks. He took great pride in his work and hobbies and was known for his skill and patience.

During his military service, Joel received the following medals and awards:

  • National Defense Service Medal
  • Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon
  • Air and Space Outstanding Unit Award
  • Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze star
  • Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal
  • Air Force Good Conduct Medal

Joel is survived by his son, Cory St Clair; daughter-in-law, Kristina St Clair; and grandson, Creason St Clair, of Milton, Florida; daughter, Keri Deitz St Clair; son-in-law, John Deitz; and grandson, Kamryn Deitz of Dunnellon, Florida. He is also survived by his brothers, Andy, Tim, and Mike St Clair, and his sister, Judy Akerly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda St Clair; his father, Donald St Clair; and his mother, Marion Van Epps.

memorial service will be held at Ocala Marion County Veterans Memorial Park on February 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to Marion County Honor Guard at 2306 SW 20th Court, Ocala, FL 34471.
