Medrick St. Denis

Medrick E. St. Denis, born February 24th, 1948 in Syracuse, NY passed away February 24th, 2025 on his 77th birthday. Medrick was preceded in death by his Father, Clarence St. Denis, his Mother, Annie and his son, Medrick (Meddy) E. St. Denis.

He is survived by his Daughters, Heather Locke of Ocala, Florida, Rebecca and Robert Spinks of Jacksonville, Florida, and Kathryn and Gary Fire of N. Syracuse, NY. Along with his grandchildren, Brianna Locke, Victoria Fire, Charlie Spinks, John Spinks and Raelynn Jackson, and his soulmate, Renee St.Denis.

Medrick was a devoted NASCAR fan, never missing a race during the season. He loved attending air shows and visiting amusement parks, especially for the thrill of the roller coasters. His passion for speed was unmatched, constantly seeking the excitement that came with anything that moved fast.

Medrick was a mechanic and proud owner of his own business A1 Brake Service in Brewerton, NY where he spent his days working in “the shop” alongside his loyal dog, Tippy. Friends stopped by every day with donuts and coffee, hanging out for hours laughing, joking around and teasing each other to no end – as Medrick often said he wouldn’t pick on you if he didn’t like you. A few years ago, he moved to Ocala, FL to enjoy a well deserved retirement in the sunshine and warmth. Medrick is deeply loved by his entire family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held in Florida once his remains have been returned home. Another celebration of life will take place in Syracuse, NY at the end of May after his grandchildren in Florida are on summer break – Additional details will be shared soon.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy Association or the American Heart Association are appreciated but not necessary.
