Gail Harris
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Gail, who departed this world on January 31st surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter, cousin, and cherished friend to everyone she met.
Gail grew up in Monsey, New York where she was introduced to her soulmate by her Aunt Gerry at the young age of 19. Their first courtship didn’t work out, but the timing was right 14 years later, and they rekindled their love, Bob and Gail were happily married on Feb 23, 1991.
Gail dedicated her life to her family and cats, whom she loved the most. She led her life with kindness and compassion for all humans and animals she met and she instilled the same values to her daughter. Her warmth, wisdom, and selfless nature touched the lives of many, making everyone she met feel valued and loved. While the world may feel a little less bright without her, we take solace in knowing that her love will always remain in our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her mother Florence, father Edward, step-father John, uncle Birds, and brother Kenney, who are now fortunate to have Gail with them again in heaven. She leaves behind her husband Bob of 34 years, daughter Kara, bonus son-in-law Sean, sisters Carol and Laura, nieces Shawn and Jennifer, and nephew Chris, along with countless friends and extended family who will forever hold her in their hearts. Though she is no longer with us in person, her love, laughter, and strong spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
A celebration of Gail’s life will be held on 06/28/25 at Kara and Sean’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any non-profit, no-kill animal shelter or animal sanctuary of your choice.
From the words of Winnie the Pooh, “how lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” which is very fitting given Gail’s adoration for Eeyore. Your love will remain in our hearts forever, until we meet again…
