Lorraine M. Fleck
In Loving Memory of Lorraine Mae Fleck
Lorraine Mae Fleck, age 66, a resident of Ocala, FL, peacefully passed away on January 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Marion County, FL. Born on May 3, 1957, in South Kingstown, RI, to Leo and Adelina (Bonar) Cloutier, Lorraine leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and dedication.
A graduate of Chariho Regional High School in 1975, Lorraine excelled in her studies, focusing on business. Her professional journey saw her applying her skills to manage operations at various private aviation companies, specializing in private charters and local commuter flights. She also brought her expertise to the management of a local pet store, showcasing her love for exotic and unusual pets.
While she found fulfillment in her professional endeavors, Lorraine’s greatest joy was found in nurturing and supporting her family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she volunteered her time to assist her children in Scouting activities and enthusiastically supported their sports and school activities, from wrestling to gymnastics. Lorraine imparted the values of caring and compassion to her children, leaving an enduring impact on their lives.
Lorraine’s love for nature and the outdoors led her to become a founding member of the Danville Long Pond Protective Association, where she dedicated her time to preserving the beauty of the natural world. Her adventurous spirit also took her to explore the United States and beyond, experiencing the wonders of more than half the states and visiting eight countries throughout Europe and the Americas.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael, her children Ryan (Melissa) Fleck of Griswold, CT, and Karyn (Michael) Parris of Ocala, FL. Lorraine’s adored grandchildren, Colin, Brady, Gavin, and Kayla, will forever cherish the values she instilled in their lives. She is also remembered fondly by her siblings Cheryl (Bailey) Blanchette, Sharon (Dave) Roode, Janice (Steve) Rubin, and Larry Cloutier.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Adelina Cloutier, her sister Sheila Joslin, and her brother Steven Cloutier.
A celebration of Lorraine’s vibrant life will be held at 1PM Sunday, April 7, 2024, at “The Space” in Westerly, RI. Please plan to join us as we come together to honor and remember the remarkable woman who touched our lives with love and grace
Thank you to the wonderful and caring people at Hospice House of Marion County.
