Alice V. Broadbent
July 10, 1942 – September 13, 2023

Alice V. Broadbent, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2023 at Grace Davis Hall Hospice House.

Alice was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She later arrived in San Francisco, California during her Navy Days.  She would go on to live in Cadiz, Kentucky and relocated to Ocala, Florida in 1987. She always worked around food. She retired from food service at MRMC where she worked as a cashier for many years.

She was married to Edward L. Broadbent for 45 years, who proceeded her in death in December of 2007.  Alice loved to cook for others whether that included huge parties or daily meals at home.  She was very skilled in crocheting and she always had a happy disposition about her though she was very straight forward.

Alice is survived by Peter Broadbent (son), Alma Lee Broadbent (daughter), Debbie Broadbent (step- daughter), William Rom (brother), Richard Rom (brother), Samuel Rom (brother), Mary Ann Corpuz (sister), Alex Broadbent (grandchild), Rachel Broadbent (grandchild), and Heather Ladd (grandchild of recently passed stepson Michael Broadbent).

Celebration of Life will be held at Mesa de Notte from 11am to 1pm on 10/7/2023.
Restaurant address: 2436 E Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 34470. Please come have a meal on Alice (food provided) to celebrate her love of feeding and sharing food with others. We ask that you wear red (her favorite color) if you wish in her honor, but not necessary.

Burial information to be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at a later date.
