Lisa Mihalow

Lisa Mihalow, a truly remarkable woman. A Wife, mother, daughter, sister, Aunt and grandmother passed away on the 20th of May, 2025 in Ocala Florida surrounded by her family. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on the 16th of January, 1964 to Joseph Ralph Nuzzi and Rosemarie (Magan) Nuzzi. Lisa spent her life living to the fullest. She lived most of her life in New Jersey, but moved to Indiana to pursue a future with her husband, and soul mate Steve Mihalow. They lived there for 20 years until moving to Florida to fulfill their lifelong dream of enjoying each other’s company in the sunshine.

She raised two beautiful children, Krystal Allen and Sarah Mihalow to be intelligent, compassionate, and independent just like her. Her children, now adults, and her husband were her whole world. She was passionate about her work in healthcare and working her way to the top; where she was extremely respected and relied on in her field. She will be greatly missed. Lisa is known for her love of a good heavy metal show, Halloween, crafting, special effects, cooking, traveling, and her activism in the LGBTQ+ community. Above all, she is known for the true love she had for her husband and her children. She is survived by her daughter Krystal Allen (Denise Harmon), of grandchildren Ava and Zoe Konig, daughter Sarah Mihalow, father Joseph Nuzzi, sister Renee Davis (Shane Blocker), niece Melinda Davis, and cats Bonesy, HocusPocus, and Sally.

In lieu of, flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made in Lisa Mihalow’s name to “The Trevor Project”. A nonprofit organization dedicated to suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youths.

There will be a celebration of life held at 2PM on July 19th at Halls Tavern in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
