Kristine L. Featherston

Kristine (Krissy) L. Featherston, 59, of Summerfield, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, with her husband by her side.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, on November 19, 1965, Krissy brought light, laughter, and an unforgettable spark to everyone lucky enough to know her. She recently relocated to Summerfield for a warmer and slower pace of life — though anyone who knew Krissy knows she never really slowed down.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Tom Featherston; her son, Corey, and his wife, Meghan; her daughter, Austin, and her husband, Kyle; and five grandchildren, who were the absolute joy of her life. Krissy also leaves behind her loving mother, Mary Ellen; her brother, Rob; her sister, Karyl Leigh; and several nieces and nephews.

Krissy was the kind of person who made everyone feel at home — quick to laugh, quicker to listen, and always up for a good story and a hearty laugh. She had a deep love for nature’s drama — watching the      Florida thunderstorms roll across the sky from the lanai was one of her favorite pastimes. And on Sundays, you could always count on her to be cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers — win or lose, black and gold ran through her veins.

She loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and lived with an authenticity that inspired everyone around her. Some of her happiest times were spending time with her grandkids, catching up with friends, or simply sitting on the
porch listening to the rain and watching the lightning, Krissy found beauty in the little things and shared that gift with others.

Her family will be holding a private celebration of life in her honor. In keeping with Krissy’s spirit, they encourage everyone who knew her to remember her by enjoying the small, beautiful moments — a thunderstorm in the distance, a good laugh with a loved one, or a Sunday spent with football on the TV.
