Joseph “Joe” Walter Kilby, 90, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. Born on March 6, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland, Joe lived a life marked by quiet strength, steady devotion, and a deep love for his family.

Joe proudly served in the United States Air Force, carrying himself with the same humility and dedication in service that he showed throughout his life. After completing his military duty, he built a long and reliable career with Port City Press, where he later retired. Joe was known for being a hardworking, quiet, and strong man — someone whose presence brought comfort and stability to those around him.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Loretta Kilby, his son, Michael Kilby, daughter-in-law, Liza Kilby, and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Christina, and Matthew Kilby, all of whom brought him great pride and joy. Joe is preceded in death by his daughter, JoAnn Caldwell, whose memory remained close to his heart.

Joe chose cremation, and memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date as the family prepares to honor his life and legacy.

He will be remembered for his unwavering strength, his gentle spirit, and the quiet love he shared so generously with those fortunate enough to know him.
