Marjorie “Margie” “Mawmaw” Kathryne Jones, 85, of Ocala, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 1, 2026. She was born on April 29, 1941, in Chesapeake.
Margie was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Ray; her second husband, Donald Jones; her granddaughter, Crystal Ray; her sisters, Martha and Peggy; and her brothers, Mackey and Joe.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Ray (Sue Ellen), Cathy Johnson (Ella), Karen Ray Simmons (Miles), David Ray, Tina Lewis (Jay), Beth Kreuger (Mick), and Tamala Ray Brunelle (Charles); 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary, Donna, Sherry, Theresa, and Judy; and her brothers, Jr. and Allen.
Margie will be remembered as the Queen of her family for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family and friends. Her smile brought warmth to every room she entered, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
