Mary Margaret Smith (Maggie) Bringle, 91, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on March 31st, 2026.
Maggie was born in Springfield, Illinois to George & Hulda Smith on May 1st, 1934. She attended Trinity Luteran School and graduated in 1953. She worked as a Clerk for Franklin Life Insurance for 2 years, then decided to take the best job known and became a stay-at-home. She enjoyed Roller-Skating, Sewing, Scrapbooking, and her Family. Her family was the most important part of her life!
Maggie is survived by her husband, Donald Eugene (Buz) Bringle of Ocala, Florida. Her children: Ronald Eugene Bringle (Susan), and Terry Rae Kalbaugh (Michael). Her grandchildren: Brent Bringle (Elaine), Kayla Christmas (David), Kyle Kalbaugh (Allison), Destiny Nigro (Raymond), and Dalton Bringle (Geri-Anne). Her great grandchildren: Alex Bringle, Violet Bringle, Dakoda Christmas, Kolton Kalbaugh, Landyn Bringle, Grayson Bringle, and Averie Kalbaugh. Several Nieces and Nephews. Maggie is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hulda Smith, twins Wassilak, sister June (Wassilak) Hart and brother Adolph “Buddy” Wassilak and her son, Scott Alan Bringle (Tammy).
Maggie was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois to George & Hulda Smith on May 1st, 1934. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Springfield High School in 1953. During her high school career Maggie was always at the Roller-Skating Rink. She was the RSROA of America State Champion for Illinois. The Roller-Skating Rink always had her heart, passion and dedication. That was until one day the love of her life, Donald Eugene (Buz) Bringle walked into the Rink and the rest is ancient history. At just the age of 19 and 20, on May 1st, 1954, these two young adults got married and welcomed their first child in 1955. Maggie and Buz welcomed three loving children into their lives, Ronald Eugene, Terry Rae, and Scott Alan Bringle. Raising their loving family in Springfield and Chatham, Illinois, before moving to their hometown in Florida, while building their dream home from ground up and building many special and unforgettable memories.
In 1979, Buz got a job opportunity that would move the entire family to Ocala, Florida. Specializing in Cabinetry, Buz and Maggie ran their family-owned business (MB Cabinets) for many years. Continuing to build unforgettable memories in their new hometown, all while watching their loving family grow welcoming 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Maggie and Buz were the definition of “True Love”, this year on May 8th, they would have been celebrating their 74th Wedding Anniversary. Maggie was the heart & soul of her Family. She was the most loving, caring, kindhearted person you would ever meet. She is deeply going to be missed by her Family!
