Barbara “Gerri” Geraldine Rice

Gerri was born in Moultrie Georgia on September 30, 1941, to parents Daniel Franklin  and Mildred Aileen Gray.

Gerri was not fancy or fussy, but she was fun loving and funny and could always make you smile. Gerri loved her flowers and her family and throughout her life she cultivated many gardens and many children. She shared her love of food with her children, she loved to cook and taught her children many recipes that they still call “comfort” food today. Gerri briefly worked as a Teacher’s Assistant.

Gerri’s illness and death were sudden, and her family will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents Daniel Franklin and Mildred Aileen Gray; brothers and sisters Jack Harold Gray, Daniel Franklin Gray jr., James David Gray, Brenda Faye Brentzel, Deborah Maude Rice and son- in-law Samuel James Anderson.

She is survived and her memory is cherished by her Life Partner Dale Leroy Guinaugh, her daughters and son, Barbara Loraine Dampier, Sherry Lynn Anderson, Albert Lamar Dampier (Patty), Tammy Ann Lippert (Dean), Tabitha Marie Rice, her sisters Mildred Joyce Whitmarsh, Sheila Kay Cheshire and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
