Carol Nadine Hanley Stallings

Carol Nadine Hanley Stallings, 64, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the E.W. & Lucille Cates House of Marion County Hospice in Ocala, Florida.

She was born in Smyth County on June 13, 1961, to the late Donald E. Hanley and Barbara Bailey Hanley Lee.

Her life’s dedication was providing service, compassion, and healing as a registered nurse. She worked for over 30 years in the operating room at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Outside of work, she loved reading and snuggling her “fur baby” Blossom.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Stallings of Roanoke, VA; her daughter, Amanda Stallings of Roanoke, VA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Merry Hanley of Ocala, FL, Clarence and Jean Hanley of Broomall, PA; a nephew and two nieces: Ryan Hanley, Erika Hanley and Megan Hanley; and special friend Avis Reynolds.

The family will gather privately for a celebration of life.
