Jeannine Evalina Rodgers (Hendricks)
Jeannine Evalina Rodgers (Hendricks), 63, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1961, to the late John and Bonnie Lee Hendricks.
Jeannine is survived by her loving siblings: Monique A. Overton (Jeff), Kimberly J. Winger (Cary), John E. Hendricks Jr. (Patricia), and Todd E. Hendricks (Diane). She leaves behind her beloved children: Catrina N. Green, BonnieLu E. Price, Sarah L. Bushing, Eric R. Parker (Alyssa), Angel Rose Gerber (Alex), and her cherished fur baby, Hannah Marie.
She was a proud grandmother to Breanna B. Green, Brennen M. Espada, Riley M. Moran, Sam J. Price, Julian R. Parker, Anna Bell N. Parker, Noah S. Price, Presley J. Parker, Jackson J. Gerber, and Everly Rose N. Gerber, as well as a great-grandmother to Isabella L. Robinson. She also shared a deep bond with her best friends, Lori Decker, Christine Davis, and Debbie McKinney (Pastor Roy).
A devoted mother of five, Jeannine built her life on the cornerstones of family, love, and faith. She was a constant source of resilience, strength, encouragement, forgiveness, and unconditional love. Through her words and example, she taught those around her that with Christ, all things are possible.
Music was one of Jeannine’s lifelong joys. She sang in the school choir alongside her dear friend Christine Davis, winning awards both solo and as a duet partner. She later shared her talents in various churches, including Foursquare Church, where she sang and played bass guitar in the Sunday morning praise and worship band. Using her voice and music, spreading the promise of salvation that only comes with God, and planting seeds in the name of Jesus was her great honor.
Jeannine will also be remembered for her trademark headbands, retro sense of humor, and love of jewelry—especially the pieces she won during Thursday night bingo with her friend Lori Decker. She delighted in dressing up for church and lunch dates, sharing her treasures with joy. Her garden was her peaceful sanctuary, and her greatest pride and joy was always her family.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bonnie Lee Hendricks; grandmother, Lu McLellan; uncle, Roy Wood; great-uncle, Roy Wood; and stepmother, Peggy L. Hendricks.
Her life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
